CROCHET GIVEAWAY............

You'll know by now, if you dip in and out of my blog, that I've thrown myself into new crafts in the last 18 months partly cos I know I'll be spending even more time on my own when youngest goes to uni and partly because I really love it! With the discovery of flickr and blogging, having a go at new things has become a big part of my life.............H thinks I spend far too long on the computer especially as I spend my working days on spreadsheets and the like, but there's so much to seek out.
My new love for 2011 will be patchwork and fabric, with maybe a dabble in embroidery. I'd also like to learn how to make felt and may do a mosaic course!.......so as a thank you, I'm offering a few of my finished items as a giveaway.
All you need to do is to become a follower and let me know what new craft you might have a go at this year. The winners will be picked next Friday. The cushion is made in cotton and the colours are lovely and  bright  although I actually prefer the back. The pot holders were great fun to make and are made in a variety of yarn.

  1. Well now, cushions and holders are lovely. Haven't tried crochet myself but H bought me a crochet book for Christmas past so I will give it a bash soon. As to my new 'thang', it's having a go at quilting. One problem, it's addictive! I love felting and am moving to Somerset soon, so if your village is nearby, I will show you how for fun!

  2. I love that red pot holder! My new thing this year is also going to be quilting and hopefully sewing in general. There are so many amazing blogs with these beautiful quilts that I just have to have a go. I also want to try my hand at ceramics as my ultimate goal is to make tiles. I hope you've entered my give away too. Rachael Xx

  3. What a gorgeous blog! I'm a new follower. :)

I think I might try to crochet this year- and something more than a granny square. All I've ever learned is a granny square or a long chain that turns into nothing. I don't even know how to connect squares together! I have some books, so I'm going to give it a go and try and teach myself.

  4. A couple of weeks ago I finally mastered the art of crochet (after 2 years of learning!) so would like to extend that skill to making a granny square. Would love to enter your giveaway please - I'm already a follower!

  5. You're so generous to give away some of your lovely things!
For 2 years I've been wanting to try and crochet. Maybe this year I'll be able to do more than just cast on stitches!
Good luck with all your new crafting adventures.

  12. Hi Elsy, I've had a good catching up session. Pleased your daughter got two uni places after all that worry for you, I'm sure that's a massive weight off your mind. I'm teaching myself to knit at the moment and am hoping I really get the hang of it, enough to knit something other than a scarf. If I don't crack it by the end of 2011 I'll try something else!

I would love to enter your giveaway please, you have some gorgeous goodies on offer!
