Herb has a big number birthday coming up....
...and I am at a loss what we can do on the day as its midweek. We wanted to go to York to see eldest child, stay over and have a meal but that would mean youngest missing 2 days of school and she cant really do that at the minute..........can anyone recommend a day out...we are about an hour north of London, going east. Restaurants, nice little towns, gardens, west end shows, anything.............am struggling.

You must be near abouts me (Sandy)...how about a walk & barge trip with a meal either on the barge or in their restaurant at Danish Camp (my son use to work there before going to uni. Nice food:-)

ReplyDeleteIf you are so close to London, what about a big name restaurant like the River Cafe or the Gherkin? I think any West End show would be great. Could you go to York at the weekend?
ReplyDeletethanks for the ideas will definitely try the danish camp at some point, but herb has decided....he wants to visit the sea! norfolk or suffolk coast and i will arrange a nice meal...all sorted x
